Carob and chocolate oatmeal dessert

Ingredients

Base mixture

  • 120 g rolled oats
  • 3 dl almond milk or any other alternative
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 3 bananas
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Carob layer

  • 1/2 of base mixture
  • 3 tablespoons carob ground
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder raw

Chocolate layer

  • 1/2 of base mixture
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon carob ground
  • 1 tablespoon cacao nibs
  • 5-6 dates previously soaked for minimum 1 hour

Avocado icing

  • 1 medium avocado
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 5-6 tablespoons agave

Instructions

Base mixture

  1. Soak 120 g  rolled oats and 1 tablespoon chia seeds in 3 dl almond milk for minimum 2-3 hours (best overnight)

  2. Put the mixture in the blender. Add bananas and peanut butter and blend on high speed until smooth.

Carob layer

  1. Put Β½ of the base mixture in the blender. Add 3 tablespoons ground carob and 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

Chocolate layer

  1. Put another Β½ of the base mixture in the blender. Add 2 tablespoons roasted cacao powder, 1 tablespoon cacao nibs, 1 tablespoon ground carob and drained dates. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

Avocado icing

  1. Place all the ingredients for the icing in a high-speed blender. Blend on high speed until the icing becomes creamy and smooth.
  2. Pour into the jars, chocolate layer on top of carob layer, and top it with avocado icing.
