Hello! We are Nensi and Slaven, a couple from Split, Croatia. We started this blog  to share our experiences and thoughts on food, to meet like-minded people and to share our love for cooking.

We really enjoy eating colorful foods, discovering new cookbooks, trying out new stuff, new recipes but also having an occasional glass of wine or beer (what can we say – we are not perfect).

Because of some health issues we started exploring gluten-free food so each recipe on this blog is gluten-free. We also became much more interested in food quality and more conscious  and mindful about what we eat, about the origin of food and the effect that certain foods have on our bodies.

All this time, we were trying to find a diet plan that made sense to us. But all the research that we did made us even more confused. Everywhere you go, you are bombarded by different opinions and advice  on  nutrition and miraculous personal stories of transformation. What’s even worse, all that information can be quite contradictory.

We’ve realized that the best thing that you can do is to listen to your body because your body knows best. So we decided to follow a whole-food, plant-based diet which  is centered on whole, unrefined, or minimally refined plants.

We strongly believe that all of us can make conscious, informed choices (thumbs up for all the Internet resources) for living a healthy and happy life while still enjoying food and an occasional glass of wine or beer.
